History
Hotel Cerkno was built in 1976. Its first function was to give a place to stay to the workers of ETA Cerkno factory. Soon after hotel opening Cerkno became a place interesting to foreign tourists. In 1980 an indoor swimming pool was built and hotel soon became one of most popular destinations for swimming club from all ex Yugoslavia. History of one of the most modern Slovenian skiing centers – Ski centre Cerkno began in 1982.
